Wanna One (Korean: 워너원, Japanese: ワナワン, stylized as WANNA ONE) is a South Korean boy band formed on August 7, 2017 by Stone Music Entertainment through the program. survival reality show Produce 101 Season 2 of Mnet TV channel and managed by Swing Entertainment (previously under YMC Entertainment). The 11-member group was voted by the Korean audience from 101 trainees from various entertainment companies. The official lineup of the group includes: Yoon Ji-sung, Ha Sung-woon, Hwang Min-hyun, Ong Seong-wu, Kim Jae-hwan, Kang Daniel, Park Ji-hoon, Park Woo-jin, Bae Jin- young, Lee Daehwi and Lai Kuan-lin. Wanna One officially debuted on August 7, 2017 with the first mini-album 1X1=1 (To Be One) and the Wanna One Premier Show-Con event. Wanna One was active until December 31, 2018 but officially stopped working with the presence of all members on January 24-27, 2019.
Before participating in Produce 101 Season 2, some members had many artistic activities and certain achievements:
In 2007, Park Jihoon became a child actor. Jihoon appeared in several dramas such as MBC's "Let's Smile" or SBS's "King and Me". Jihoon also appeared in several TV shows with SS501, Big Bang. In 2009, Park Woojin appeared on Superstar K, a Korean music talent search program, but was eliminated. In 2012, Hwang Minhyun debuted in boy group NU'EST and Kim Jaehwan appeared on Korea's Got Talent 2 but was eliminated in the semi-finals. In 2014, Ha Sungwoon debuted in the boy group HOTSHOT. In 2016, Kim Jaehwan won against veteran singer Yoon Dohyun in an episode when participating in God's voice.
