This drama is incredibly underrated and is so worth the watch!

I really recommend this drama to those who are into food dramas and want to learn more about Japanese culture. The premise is quite simple, but it'll truly teach you the beauty of the mundane and how food can be seen in a completely different light.

What I love so much about this drama is that the main character (Murasaki Wakako) actually goes to real restaurants that you can visit in Japan. I enjoy visiting Japan every summer (although this summer, I did not go due to the pandemic) and intend on trying out these restaurants.

I think that you'll really fall in love with her curiosity about food and trying out new things. At first, the drama did seem weird because she was pretty obsessed with food and she ate alone in nearly every episode, but you'll get used to that as you watch more! Wakako finds solace in food and enjoys eating out after a long day of work. And this is what I find in common with her as well. Eating delicious food is usually the highlight of my day, and I appreciate the fact that a drama like this actually exists. It's unique because you learn more about this character through the food she eats.
