### About Series "Ugly Duckling Series: Don't (2015)"

After confessing his love to his lover in elementary school, Maewnam was really crushed when the boy rejected her in front of all his friends. He called her ugly and at that moment she decided to wear a box on her head. Maewnam is really traumatized by those events and she hides behind the box, truly believing that she is ugly.

Forced back to school, Maewnam meets Minton and Zero. Minton is sweet, friendly and new to school while Zero is a notorious troublemaker who always uses his fists to solve his problems. The question is: who was the guy who called her ugly all these years ago? Is it Minton? Is it Zero? Is it someone else?

I haven't seen "Boys Paradise" yet (I may update this after I see it), but "Don't" is definitely my favorite in the "Ugly Duckling" series. I think seven episodes is the perfect amount for this series, while "Perfect Match" (9) is too long and "Pity Girl" (5) is too short. The plot for "Don't" is strangely the most logical of the aforementioned series'. Yes, it is extremely confusing for Maewnam (Mild) to wear a box on his head after being called ugly once. But, I think a lot of people can relate to wanting to close themselves off from the world.

Regarding love preferences, I like both Zero (Mek) and Minton (Victor). I think both are a good fit for Maewnam, although I'm glad my favorite was picked in the end ;) I think Mek played the good Zero, making him a moral bad guy and always ready for change. Victor's Minton is funny and sweet and ready to protect those he loves. I also love Maewnam's brother and father. They delivered great comedies and I enjoyed their support for Maewnam.

Finally, I would like to add a trigger alert for those who have been bullied. Although she has never been bullied, the scene where Vivien and her friend nearly drowned Maewnam is quite thrilling. Overall, I really like this series. The plot is probably the most personally relevant to me since I often close myself off from others. As Maewnam learned, the outside world is both scary and wonderful and I want to thank this movie for reminding me of this.
