ABOUT THE RAIN

The Rain is a Danish web television series created by Jannik Tai Mosholt, Esben Toft Jacobsen and Christian Potalivo.1 It premiered on Netflix on May 4, 2018. The second season premiered on May 17, 2019 and the third and final season premiered on August 6, 2020.

THE RAIN synopsis

Six years after a terrible virus washed away by rain wiped out nearly all humans in Scandinavia, two Danish brothers, Simone and Rasmus, emerge from the safety of their bunker to find the remains of fallen civilization. They soon join a group of young survivors and together they embark on a dangerous adventure through abandoned Scandinavia, searching for any sign of life. Freed from its collective past and social rules, the group has the freedom to be who it wants to be. In their fight for survival, they discover that even in a post-apocalyptic world there is still love, jealousy, maturity, and many of the problems they believed they had left behind with the demise of the world they knew.

THE RAIN IS WORTH TO WATCH

There isn't a single person on the planet who hasn't heard of this film. The cast also does an excellent job in their parts. Before you read this review and before I give you any spoilers about the plot, I strongly advise you to watch the film. It's nearly impossible not to like THE RAIN. The plot is well-crafted, the pacing is excellent, and all of the performers provide outstanding performances. Because of how excellent it was, it film stands out in my mind. Maybe it's because I wasn't expecting it. I strongly advise everyone to watch this film; you will not be disappointed.
