Chimera (2021) plot

an explosion took place in the past. That explosion led to a serial murder case known as the Chimera case. 35 years later, a similar explosion takes place.

Cha Jae-Hwan (Park Hae-Soo) is an enthusiastic detective. When Eugene (Soo-Hyun) was little, she was adopted by parents in the United States. She once worked for the FBI and she now works as a criminal profiler. When Lee Joong-Yeop (Lee Hee-Jun) was little, he was adopted by parents in England. He became a surgeon and returned to South Korea, but he gets involved in a mysterious case.

Cha Jae-Hwan, Eugene and Lee Joong-Yeop have different reasons to chase the truth of the Chimera case.

• First two episodes are great . If you are crime thriller lover you should give a chance . Also there is no romance tag but the way CJH looks at CYJ kind of giving slight romance vibe. Well anyway I like it .

-this is my guesswork, not spoiler. Since Lee Joong Yeop is shown upfront in Ep#1, I guess he's somehow related to the present day killings..

My deductions: Dr Lee Joongyeop aka Jerome JY Edwards is either the son of the falsely accused or one of the murdered victims 35yrs ago. He's now back in Korea to bring out the real culprit behind the 35-yo Chimera murders as well as to punish the three detectives, including Han Jooseok who tortured the falsely accused into confession and Son Wanki who covered the 35-yo "murderer "..

Cha Eunsoo, the pregnant wife of the accused, could have lost the 7-yo kid who probably went missing and/or somehow got adopted and moved to UK...
