ABOUT Bridgerton (2020)

Bridgerton is an American web television period drama series created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes. It was based on Julia Quinn's best-selling novels of the same title, set in the competitive world of London's high society during the Regency period when young debutantes were introduced to court and defined their marital status. It premiered on December 25, 2020 on the Netflix streaming platform. It has eight episodes. Netflix renewed the series for a second season, in early 2021,1 and in April confirmed the renewal for a third and fourth season respectively.

Bridgerton (2020) synopsis

The series is set in high London society during the 19th century English Regency. The story centers on two families, the Bridgertons and the Featheringtons.

The Bridgerton family is made up of Violet, Dowager Viscountess Bridgerton, her four sons Anthony, Benedict, Colin and Gregory, and her four daughters Daphné, Eloise, Francesca and Hyacinthe.

The Featherington family is made up of Lady Portia Featherington, her husband Baron Archibald Featherington and their three daughters, Philippa, Prudence and Penelope, as well as their distant cousin Marina Thompson.

• Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury, a sharp-tongued, insightful doyenne of London society, who was a close friend of Simon's mother and helped raise him after her death. • Lorraine Ashbourne as Mrs. Varley, the Featheringtons' housekeeper • Jonathan Bailey as Anthony, Viscount Bridgerton, the eldest Bridgerton son and holder of the family title and estate since their father's passing. He is also responsible for finding suitable spouses for his sisters while he himself is unwilling to marry. • Ruby Barker as Marina Thompson, a Featherington cousin from an upper middle class rural gentry family who comes to debut in London society as payment for a debt Baron Featherington owes her father. Marina is strikingly beautiful but also has a secret that will devastate not only her reputation but the entire family's. • Sabrina Bartlett as Siena Rosso, an opera singer who is Anthony's lover.

Bridgerton (2020) IS WORTH TO WATCH

There isn't a single person on the planet who hasn't heard of this film. The cast also does an excellent job in their parts. Before you read this review and before I give you any spoilers about the plot, I strongly advise you to watch the film. The plot is well-crafted, the pacing is excellent, and all of the performers provide outstanding performances. Because of how excellent it was, it film stands out in my mind. Maybe it's because I wasn't expecting it. I strongly advise everyone to watch this film; you will not be disappointed.
