Hou Ba Tian feels cursed: Shorter than most, he's also cowardly, and anything but a shining star in the workplace. Furthermore, everything good in his life seems to come with an eight-day deadline: Just eight days after finding a new job, he's fired by his frustrated boss. Just eight days after starting a new relationship, his girlfriend dumped him. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to find satisfaction or lasting success. Meanwhile, Meng Po Er also expressed disappointment with his luck. Although tall and good-looking, she had just been robbed. She was then kicked out of her home and eventually forced to work at a street food stall. Hou Ba Thien stops by the stall to drink and eat and saves her from what appears to be a conflict with a customer.
